Tony Lacavera, Chariman of Globalive, the company which owns the Wind Mobile brand, announced today on windmobile.ca that Wind Telecom will be bought by Russian telecom company VimpelCom for $6 billion.

(btw wind has the Nokia C7 now great phone and if you buy it for $350 you get a 5230 as well but then again for $350 u may as well just get an N8)

haha doesnt make a diff if the damn CRTC doesnt allow wind to operate.. Assholes..
Also, Wind Mobile isnt only in Canada, Wind Brand also operate in Italy

Historically, Wind has been a bit of a misfit carrier, especially Wind Italy.
For a long time, they were not interested in negotiating signalling and roaming agreements with 99% of the world's carriers.
