Anyone have advice and precautions when working for home business owners? Requires me to use own vehicle and cell, gas is paid for. Compensated in cash no cheques, paystubs only. Thanks

Those sort of businesses can easily go under and fold up suddenly, leaving you holding the tab for any expenses. Make sure you get them paid out as often as possible.

you better ask for half the money upfront each day and not have to wait 2 wks.. otherwise your screwed...
Remember: If it sounds to good to be true, then dont do it

If everything is documented then you can take them to small claims court, my suggestion would be keeping careful track of your hours and fuel expenses on time sheets and having the employer sign it daily until you trust them.
Any employer that operates out of their home and pays cash is sketchy as fuck, I would only work for them if I were desperate.

I got offered to do escort transport. Even though the money is good, its not worth the risk.

yah its hard to decide. his garage is basically a dispatch call center, ill just document everything and get him to agree to sign it. financial problems so i am pretty desperate.
