Hi, I am looking for:

Mugen TwinLoop Catback Exhaust (authentic), for the 1999-2001 Honda Prelude BB6 BASE Model.

I am aware that this is not very common in local areas, but if im not mistaken, there was a place that supposedly carried authentic Mugen parts?

anyway, I have tried ordering online from KingMotorSports, but unfortunately, they are out of stock, and I have been put on the Backorder List. given the recent events in Japan, I have my doubts that they will recieve new stock any time soon.

So, I am hoping a sponsor here has one IN STOCK locally that I can simply pickup, and not have to order from Japan.

Thank you for your time!

PS: Hope this doesn't break any rules or seem rude, but, because I AM on the Backorder list for KingMotorSports, there is a possibility (albeit small) that they can restock and I will proceed with paying them. If any sponsor here has one IN STOCK or can guarantee to get one very quickly, I will remove my order from KingMotorSports.

EDIT: Please do not hesitate to PM me as well! ;D

^ok, thanks for the heads up.

Kingmotorsports from the sounds of it, will continue to sell these for all hondas. but i still have to wait for them to receive new stock from japan ;[

i guess mods can close this if needed.

thanks again everyone ;]

Why do you want a mugen exhaust so badly? You can get a custom 3" exhaust made and it will make more power and save you money.

hmmm mainly for aesthetics i guess. i compared a bunch of exhausts for the prelude, and i personally like the sound of the mugen the best. to each their own i guess.

since i bought my prelude, i have been wanting that exhaust. the only time i even considered going with a larger custom exhaust was when i wanted forced induction. but realistically, i dont drive that fast, and for my first car (and fairly old car), i dont think FI would be smart for me ;p

EDIT:
on a random note, ive seen a few dynos out there, with mugen producing VERY close to the top for power. albeit at a higher cost. mugen isnt too bad for NA cars.

Those are old and out of date dynos.
A 3" exhaust is proven over and over again to make power on a stock NA H22.
If you like the sound of the mugen, they have those mugen replica twin loop mufflers I'v seen on ebay. They are cheap too.
Hytech also makes a nice twin loop but it was expensive from what I remember.

yeah, i understand 3" is better, and even the 2.5" > mugen's ~2.36"

however, considering i have not yet bought a decent header, the exhaust really is nothing more than an expensive bling for me hehehe. bolt-ons barely do too much for the h22a as it is. like i said, i love the sound of the mugen, and i know people have the ebay ones, but i figured, i rather just buy the real thing and be done with the entire exhaust. (maybe im also influenced by the whole "brand" thing too ;P)

hytech is pretty much the same cost as mugen. (for the header atleast).

i know everyone has different tastes/budget/priorities. but everyone who has the mugen exhaust on their preludes have said the same thing: no regrets and well worth the money. the resale value of a used mugen exhaust is also fairly good, incase i plan on parting out in the future.

the majority of the prelude community (that i know of), would take mugen over anything if the cost werent so high, and if they are sticking with a NA setup.
