Walking through the lot something orange caught my eye!

someone told me the car came in, but i didnt get a chance to see it until i was leaving!

the 1M looks awesome, the fenders look like 30mm wider, and the bumper slits make it known the fenders are wider, i wonder how it drives though, maybe i can convince big boss if i can take it for a spin to write a review!

Saw the X1 being unloaded out of a trailer when I was heading home. Had no idea they were even making one, lol.

the x1 by size, looks like an inflated e91 touring (3 series wagon)

and by inflated, i do mean quite a bit larger. its still sits smaller than the x3, but the new x3 that came out is fair bit larger. i believe we will be seeing a new x5 coming out in a year or 2.

so the shift in size means bmw is trying to fit the x1 in. the great thing is the new 4cyl turbo'd 2.0L... this may replace the current 2.5L NA motor. it matches if not beats every aspect of the NA motor, and almost no turbo lag to boot!



at training, i heard the best ever explanation for bmw compared to benz.

"BMW's are drivers cars, BENZ's are passenger cars"

The X1 is nice. I ordered the exact color combo in China last summer and got it around xmas. Its a great car for its price and it looks pretty sick.

$53,000 stock
$61,300 fully loaded

just for comparison,
135i coupe with the m-sport package is $46,100
135i coupe fully loaded is $55,250
M3 coupe stock is $71,700
M3 coupe with similar options as the fully loaded 1M is $80,200

Only slightly more power than the 135i, but chassis from M3, so not bad.
