We will get a new ride this year and this will be our tallest ride at 66 metres. Looks more like a better version of the swings imo. Here's a preview, name to be announced.

I'm an avid roller coaster fanatic but this is the only one that has scared me to death. It's even scarier at night. Just watching the first drop alone got me hyperventilating right now. Haven't tried Tatsu though and I heard that one is scarier.

Awesome ride! It would be nice if Playland eventually turned into a true Six Flags style amusement park with better rides.

That's "The Giant Drop" at Dreamworld in Australia. They don't start applying the brakes until 12 metres from the ground.

i haven't been on a roller coaster since 2008, but i went on the Behemoth the then biggest roller coaster in Canada at Canada Wonderland.
it was pretty sick it went like 120-140 km/h or something like that.

X2 is one of the craziest rides I've ever been on. It was freaking retarded! My favorite right by far.
If anyone is planning on going to six flags, I would suggest getting a flash pass, otherwise you'll be waiting hours in line and probably get like five rides in MAX.

Everything is overpriced here. Gotta live with it. I'd prob still take my gf for this new ride even though every ride feels like nothing after six flags.

The ride will be included with the price of admission and not something you gotta pay extra for like the 2 rides over by the Cork Screw. But we all know they will probably just end up raising the price of admission. FU!

X2 was awesome. Most memorable/annoying thing about it was the music in the damn lineup. Every 10 seconds, a womans voice would whisper, "X2... X2..." while we waited for the damn hour

Don't know if they changed it, but I went back in 2003. Ride was dumb.
I thought the ride was going to do a free fall down, but it just drops
10 meters, then bobs up, and you drop another 10, then bobs around.
There's a smaller ride similar to it (don't know what's it called, it was near that monster truck show area)
and it was more exciting, cause it was just a full free fall from top to bottom. Much shorter than the Hellevator, but the freefall is longer.

i remember when there was the twin flip (wonder if it's still there). There wasn't anyone waiting for it and the operator was my friend. Let me stay on for like 10 minutes. Only ride that ever made me sick and feel like throwing up

Last time I went to Six Flags...(many, many years ago) I remember the Goliath, it wasn't scary per se but DAMN it was exhilerating!... I lost my voice on that ride, I remember the first drop, I was screaming..... and screaming .... and screaming ... and I was like "wtf we're STILL dropping?!" ... so I had to take a deep breath and yell again before we got to the bottom (which actually goes underground into a cave) ... friggin' AWESOME!
I never went on the X2 ... but I'm going to Six Flags next month so I'll be sure to try it!... hmm... how much is the Flash Pass? Is it really worth it?

I worked there 3 years ago and I THINK during fair season they have the free fall, given that you have to pay to ride the hellevator, but yeah. It also runs longer than the one during playland season.
