Looking to get the shutter replaced on my 1dmkII. Does anyone know how much it'll cost from canon? And are they any places locally i can take it to or do i have to ship it out?

Ask bikerx, he got his replaced a while ago. Think it was around 300 dollars.

if anyone is wondering, I sent my 1d2 to canon and had the shutter replaced for $350ish dollars after taxes and shipping. Pretty good deal IMO!

That is a pretty sweet deal. I have a 1Ds2 myself.. Luckily, the previous owner already had the shutter replaced a year ago.. Should be OK for the next little while.. Sorry for the threadjack but has anyone sent in their Canon body + lens in for collaboration ?
