: Between here and Exit 202 (Seattle Premium Outlets)

Culverin

I've got a trip coming up on Saturday with some friends down to the outlets. I don't really plan to shop or anything, mostly just to hang out and kill a day.
Ideally, I'd like to find a nice place to have lunch or dinner between here and there.

I just did a quick flip through all the Seattle threads and they all seem list places in Seattle proper. I'm hoping you guys have some suggestions? I've already been to Johnny Carino's a few times, so let's rule that out?

thanks all!

I don't usually go down south to eat because Vancouver has so many good restaurants. However, I do make a trip to Ivar's almost everytime I head home. The one I go to is near 202 exit on the other side of the highway near the train tracks.

buy white castle frozen burgers if you're down there. they have it at hagen and walgreens. my god, they are as delicious as how they are depicted in Harold and Kumar go to whitecastle.

they aren't cheap either. i want to try fresh whitecastle sliders. there aren't any on the west coast though :(

If you're gonna eat crap anyway, skip the buffets and go have the biggest, nastiest, greasiest burger you can find at a place like Jack in the Box or Carls Jr. I went down for a weekend trip, and we ate at Jack every single day. It was fucking awesome, and the dump I took when I got home was EPIC.

Olive garden just opened up this past year at tulalip casino/outlets (or you could go to the one in bellingham)

Red lobster in lynnwood

Cheesecake factory in bellevue
Crab pot in bellevue (closer than seattle's location)

Depends on what you consider nice and cuisine you want. There's honestly not much in between the border to the outlets.

If you get a chance, a hidden gem is the Bob's burgres. outlet 202, but past home depot, pass walmart there is a bob's burgers on the right.

Their breakfast 8 oz steak + eggs and hashbrowns (feeds 2) for 12 bucks.

wtf... Olive Garden, Sonic? A lot of people must have failing taste buds in this thread.

La Fiamma is really good as Da Fonz mentioned, not as good as Steveston Pizza Co. imo but solid and they have some interesting toppings. Get the rosemary lemonade to drink.

I've never been but my friend really likes Fairhaven Fish & Chips in Bellingham as well

Oh and if you are looking for something a little more high end, Tivoli is a nice little bistro just on the edge of downtown Bellingham.

I haven't gone there in months. You really can't beat the value you get for the price you pay. Something like that here would be $13+ for the burger, fries and the shake.

Hmm... last I checked, it's on the menu, I think it's called "Boomers" or something ... can't remember for sure, but if you just order it as deep fried mushrooms they can make it for you anyways. There's quite a bit of seating inside, there's a round fireplace table in the center (your face will get pretty warm lol) and tables that could seat probably about 20 people.

For those who doesnt go down past exit 256 and just hang around bellingham area... try this place for asian buffet food. 13.99 adults dinner:
Wonderful Buffet - Bellingham | Urbanspoon (http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/88/1513085/restaurant/Wonderful-Buffet-Bellingham)

It is uncle willy's style buffet where you get up with a plate and take food from their food area.

Some items they have I will try to recall off the top of my head:
Mongolian grill (pick raw item, bring to chef to fry up. He has a tip jar beside the grill)
Salmon sashimi (limited quantity offered)
salmon sushi
cali roll, tempura roll, spicy salmon roll, avacado roll, something-cream cheese roll
raw oysters shucked (I dont know my species... it's the typical large one)
vegi tempura
Oyster Motoyaki + baked seafood on bread
garlic frog legs
clayfish
coconut fried prawns
garlic baked shrimps
typical chinese fried rice, chow mein, stir fry, etc
Mediocre dessert + salad bar

no free pop... but i still think the place is better than old country buffet

I started going to the place a few months ago and I'd hate to admit it, but I like it. It's cheap, for one thing. You have to go when it is the busiest. That way, the food is always fresh......... or fresher.

It's quick, it's cheap, and it's right there on Guide Merridian.

So many Asians in there - that could mean one of two things....... the food is really good, or, it's damn cheap, lololololol.

Just wanted to say you get a free birthday buffet meal once a year at silver reef casino if you signed up for their card. You can use the meal any day in a calendar year and not on your actual birthday itself. Great to use for the seafood buffet during king crab season.

And wonderful buffet, only the price is good. Decent selection but the food is not that great.

If you want to pig out then try Golden Corral in Marysville. Its just a 4.2 km(according to google) drive from the Premium Outlets. Went there for a Sunday lunch and it was busy. Pretty good food for its price. I believe it was $11.99 with a drink.
