Canucks 1994 Stanley Cup Run Flashback

Today April 13th 2011, The canucks start the 2010-2011 Stanley Cup playoffs.

It is our 40th year, and this could be our best run yet.

Alot of you RS'ers are too young to remember this series, even me, I remember staying up late just to watch a few double or triple overtimes, just to watch my (at the time) favourite players; Pavel, Trevor, Kirk, and Marty.

It has many videos, and true canucks fans would appreciate it

In '94, I was 11. I watched every game. I remember I threw a slice of pizza against the wall when it was all over. One of the most memorable times of my childhood. I loved our '94 run.

But I can't wait to not have to mention it again. Make no mistake...the '94 team will be heroes forever but I'm tired of our team's greatest moment of glory being '94. I'm tired of our best memory being a goalpost short.

Next year, I want to be able to say that 2011 was our moment.

Nathan LaFayette is an exec for a huge insurance company now that, I believe, his father started. A few years ago he was a rep for our company and actually came in; the sales manager and COO didn't realize who he was until afterwards.

I was 6 when this series was played. I don't remember it quite well but I remember watching it with my mom who is a HUGE nucks fan (she lives in calgary and still roots for them LOL).

LOL, I was close to 40 when I watched my Canucks come ever so close to taking the holy grail.

Anyone else thing Lou's save in Game 1 was eerily similar to McLean's famous save vs Calgary in 94?!
