On April 3rd, 2011 Harper had his people lurk a teenager's Facebook page and then kick her out of an event because she had posed for a photo with the Liberal leader Michael Igantieff. This should come as no surprise from Harper - he tried and failed (4 times!) to create a law that would allow the government to obtain your personal information from an internet provider - without a warrant.
In 2008, Luc Pomerleau, a biologist at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, discovered secret government plans to weaken regulations & allow corporate food producers to conduct their own safety inspections. Pomerleau leaked the news and was immediately fired. Then the listeriosis meat outbreak killed 17 Canadians.

Stephen Harper turned our international reputation from 'Peacekeeper' to 'Torture-Giver'.
'We detained, and handed over for severe torture, a lot of innocent people.' in 2009 Canadian Diplomat Richard Colvin shocked the nation with these words. In Afghanistan, Canada captured 6x more prisoners than the British and 20x as many as the Dutch. Colvin explained that 'Many were just local people: farmers; truck drivers; tailors, peasants...the likelihood is that all the Afghans we handed over were tortured.'
That and not aiding the Child, Omar Khadr, who had been locked away in Guantanomo since '02 and wouldn't be released to Canada unless he plead guilty (against international law btw, prosecuting a child soldier) who's still locked away for another year in Solitary confinement before being sent back to Canada where its expected that he serve the rest of his 8 year sentence -_-
That TOTALLY made my morning. Both funny and informative but most of all, it's about time that the young people start bringing their complaints to the table.

maybe it is just me, but I fucking hate these negative and bashing campaigns.
How about you fuckers use your time and money to tell us what you did right or what's your plan if elected, instead of saying what everyone else did wrong.
The people behind Shit Harper Did aren't a political party. They're a group of young people who don't like the Con's representing them. They advocate for voting for anyone else but don't have any favorites amongst the other parties.
So... they have no platform to preach to you. They just want you to know the truth.

Exactly. To this date, I still don't know if I should vote for Con or Lib. I have two weeks left to find out.
The first five that I read all had to do with Aboriginal rights and stuff. Couldn't care less.
If all Harper did was cut funding to First Nations or whatever...then
C'mon...find better reasons not to vote for him.
well think of it this way, cut funding now, cut programs to FN. and in the long run they will end up costing more . in healthcare/jails/drug rehabs. etc etc

prevention rather than cure.
Ya, because handouts have been keeping them off drugs, away from alcohol and in school for decades..........
First nations are like drug addicts, they need some tough love. Cut them off, let them realize mommy and daddy (Govt) isn't going to be there to bail them out and they need to get busy making positive changes or dieing. Just like addicts your hurting them and keeping them down by helping em out.

i thought this was an anti-harper site. why is there promotional material mixed in? these two points make me want to vote conservative
1The African nation of Malawi is one of the 10 poorest nations in the world. Before Harper, Canada was the 6th largest aid donor to Malawi and biggest supplier of school books. Harper closed the Canadian embassy in Malawi and took the country (as well as 6 other African nations) off Canada's aid priority list. All in all, Harper cut aid to Africa in half before eventually freezing all foreign aid in 2010.
okay but maybe we were spending too much on foreign aid before? maybe we have priorities at home before we can help a seemingly unending problem of world poverty? the US wastes a lot of money by taking on the world hero role, why must we follow their same direction but on a different path?
2In the 2011 budget, the Harper government failed to allocate any new funding for drinking water on First Nations reserves. 100 First Nations communities currently have water advisories, including 49 communities which are high risk. Harper also refuses to sign the UN Declaration designating clean water as a human right.
let me get this straight.. the first nations reserve want rights to utilities but dont want to pay taxes or be governed in any way by the government.. where do we draw the line on retribution to these guys? clean water isn't hard to get in canada

I know we have so tough in Canada right now. Last week my tenants were without power for over an hour. The horror.

oh i sense scarcasm. you're right, let's just plug more money into foreign aid. i mean, whether we plug more or less money into foreign aid doesnt change a thing-- but it's the effort that counts!!

utter bs
gee who was in power in 2002? oh wait it was chretien, then it was martin, liberals didnt do fuck all the first 4 years the kid was locked up... except send CSIS to check up on him a few times to make sure he wasnt being tortured too badly
so stephen harper takes over in 2006, kadr has already been there for 4 years and now all of a sudden harper is some giant asshole for not doing anything? In fact hes actually going to be repatriated to Canada soon and its happening under Harpers watch.

the entine khadr family are terroists. the dad was killed in the middle east fighting against our allies. his brother was shot fighting against our allies. he was then flown back to canada as a citizen and got free heath care for his war wounds from fighting against us. his mom was collecting welfare last time I checked. probably sending half of it to the terroists.
your tax dollars well spent.
the whole family should be kicked out of canada and locked up
