	   | Facebook security settings
While on FB, look at your URL address (the very top box on your screen.) If u see "http:" instead of "HTTPS:" then you DO NOT have a secure session & can be HACKED. Go to Account - Account Settings - Account Security - click Change. Check box (secure browsing), click Save. FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting! Do your friends a huge favor, copy & Re-post

Social Media site but all everyone talks about is securing there account so no one can see or find you. So whats the point of even going. You cant even find someone through search.

^ that's kinda what I meant. I meant hidden over a network, and not necessarily within Facebook itself (I know Facebook has its own privacy settings). I thought the wiki link explained it clearly enough.

^ that would be a different security feature. I believe you have the option to not show up on the searches when someone types in your name.

That's a bit of fear mongering there... it's extremely unlikely you'll be a victim to someone sniffing your packets to hijack your Facebook account... if there are people doing it, they would be doing it to profit, as in to get your credit card numbers and bank passwords.
