Hey guys, just looking for some clarification on this auction sheet. I know the car has been "repaired," but just trying to get an idea of what else the auction sheet says.

Mostly wondering what the "comments/notes" section says.
Thanks for your help!

R and C in the top right corner indicate the condition of interior and exterior of the car. seems like it's not in tip top shape. C i think is the interior grade. and as you'd know the M3s coming from Japan have cloth interior unlike the M3s here.

Yeah, I believe "C" designates an interior with cigarette burns or something?
Apparently, it's a European M3; the pictures look decent, but I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth the (long) drive to go see it.

don't buy it...
here's how the grading goes...
S
6
5
4.5
4
3.5
3
2
1
RA
R
0
I don't wanna write down the details of each grading...but if you go to any dealers/brokers in Japan, they will tell you anything lower than 4 is garbage.

"C" means big scratches, damages, rust, burn, ripped seats, etc
A is the highest and E is the worst for interior grading.

Take note that XX means replaced part ^ (hood).
btw shouldn't your broker translate the auction sheet for you? that's what they get paid for.

3.5 isn't garbage. It depends the auction house how they grade the car. Sometimes they may give a car grade 3 with only a dented door and all around its in great condition... I see this all the time.
grade 4 is usually the best you will find on most 15 year old Japanese cars. You can find grade 4.5 but the price will be top dollar.
even most grade 3.5 cars are nice condition.
grade 3 is usually a car with fadded paint all around or has big dents etc.

These cars are at Tyee, and they're not exactly known for being honest. I'm trying to get a general idea, before I even consider calling them up.

also keep note of the auction date, these cars come and go fast... so if you do end up calling them you'll have to act fast since they need to bid before a certain time and stuff....

They're already landed :)

-found out the car has no stereo, and the trip computer BS isn't working (meh). I"m assuming damaged wheels would be curbage, mirrors would be a scuff against something, seats = wear and tear? (they look pretty mint in the photos)
I'm assuming the "right front interior panel" refers to the glove box seen here:

?
Assuming, it's all just nit-picky BS, it isn't that bad... I'm still curious as to the accident history though..

auction sheets don't have accident history. They write these up as they see the car.
