Hi RevScene,
my car was stolen from my driveway in Coquitlam 2 nights ago. There was no sign of glass on the ground, and I even had a dual-pronged club on the steering wheel. The car was dirty and in need of a wash and vacuum, but it is in fantastic shape. It is all stock (minus the wheels), and has only about 118,000 or 119,000 kms on it. I have some pics of what it looks like here, but there are a couple notable differences than what's in these pics.

First, it doesn't have these wheels on it right now, it has some dirty JDMs with a set of Falken tires.
It also has silver Vtec stickers on both sides, even though it's missing one in the first pic here.

If anyone sees it, please let me know, and call it in to the police ASAP using the case number of 11-10457. Thanks very much.

what do you mean by "JDM's"? Hope it was stolen for some point A to point B type of thing.

I just say JDMs because I don't know the actual model of them. I bought them off someone from Van Civics to put my winters on, and just never paid attention to what they are, so I don't know.

will keep an eye out... all those late 90's model hondas will get stolen easily w/o a fuel cut switch!

I had a 2000 SiR. Holy crap was that car a target for theft.

If you get it back I strongly suggest putting in a good alarm system. Mine never got stolen, but there were many attempts. I made sure it was a pain in the ass to steal.

If you get it back... Put a kill switch in it in a random place. Best anti theft. Or, on my old car the fuel pump relay was within easy reach so I just took that out if I didn't like where I was.

Best yet, GPS tracking. Even if they tow your car, you'll know where it is

Eastern Europeans have been known to transport vehicles that they have stolen onto Anti-GPS signal containers (or GPS jammers). But then, I have not heard any similar cases in Canada yet.

It was my first brand new car, and people were stealing them like crazy then too. Mainly for the wheels, engine, head rest, and guage cluster.

My SiR costed more to insure than my new BMW 330i when I got it. Go figure.

Here's a FAQ I wrote up way back in the days and reposted recently:

If you value your car, I'd suggest a good alarm installed professionally and maybe a GPS tracking system like the Compustar Drone.
