DTP was fun.......6years - 7 years ago....now, I rather just stroll through vancouver on a nice day and see all the participants driving around town. The atmosphere has lost its bang.....now its 20bux to see the same shit down robson....oh and btw, walkin robson theres much better eye candy.

Gotta support the sponsors, industry, and overall carscene.
Without them theres no us. If they lose interest in producing parts cause less tuners... Where will our aftermarket parts come from?

The pressure of getting car ready before roll-in date, having to hurry to get setup at booth, seeing old faces of competitiors and friends, staying til late night to setup/clean car and finally having the organizers telling me I have to leave cause its closing.
Getting home to sleep so can wakeup early tomorrow for showtime. Thinking if anything missed.
Meeting the models early morning for prep... Walking into show before the public arrives... Awaiting for judges to judge you.

Dont forget the feel of competition... and nearing the end, calling winners circle... Alas, trophies!

finally decided on a color!

finally putting back on my lip, installing my ltuned skirts, jp wing going back on the car, macblick roof spoiler going back on... first time showcasing this car.

for those that dont enter, yes, you feel bored. for those that enter, u try to better yourself for the following year. with 2 years come and gone missing with local car shows, there should be some new blood (including myself) for this year!

DTP has always been about engine performance oriented. Ever since I entered in 2006.

actually you'd be surprised, track cars have pretty good chance of winning. It's not all about flawless paint and stereos system in recent years.

RS's entery many years ago with "martini's" for track only crx won best race vehicle...

Over the years, they developed a lot more categories.

With my vehicle, the definition is kinda vague, so i know the competition will be very steep. Most of the time, some of our competitors are also our friends, so it just gives the chance to shoot-the-shit while you are there.

I don't believe it's all about winning at these events. If anything, these shows are what bring enthusiasts together. You get to see what's hot, what's not, what works and what doesn't. It's always great to have a look at the status quo then to see what you can do better the next time around. Great place to network and to catch up with old friends!

I had my SW20 there for two years and every year, there was something new to look forward to. In fact, I even got a nice sponsorship by Rotora.
