No matter what your belief is, I think everyone should watch Ancient Aliens the series by History Channel. Definite an eye opener to alternative theories. That documentary explained more about Christianity and its stories more then my pastor every could and did when I tried to get him to explain it to me.
Growing up, I've always tried to see a bigger picture by looking at pieces of our past. I was shocked after watching ancient aliens to learn that there are others out there that thought the same as me. I have religious friends who believe the world was created in 7 days and that the earth is only 6000 years old as fact. I don't even try to tell them anything anymore. Posted via RS Mobile

Ditto, for anybody how hasn't seen it, I totally recommend watching that show. While I think some of the theories they spout are complete garbage, a lot of the factual evidence they point out and show are pretty damned mind blowing.

IMO it's fine if people believe in god or whoever. But, people can't really believe the earth is only 6,000 years old?
There is actual evidence that dates specimens way beyond 6,000 years.
This isn't even a theory. This is fact. As sure as 2+2 = 4

Right there along with with how evolution doesn't exist, and humans coexisted with dinosuars. To them, they believe nothing can be older than 6000 years old. Their theory is that starlight takes millions of years to reach us, therefore scientists can perceive objects as that old.
If there's one thing I've learned, human conditioning is possible when you get them young.

Not a religious freak by any means but you do know that the methods used to determine the age of specimens or whatever else aren't 100% accurate right?

It's interesting how Ancient Aliens pointed out that most, if not all religion (no matter Christianity, Greek mythology, Taoism, etc) involve deity or agents of deity visiting earth..... all coming from the skies above.

I look at the world and religion and the world differently now. Instead of telling religious nuts that they are crazy, I can just call them stupid or misunderstanding their own texts
