its a Ricoh, compact style camera, like a Canon G11/12.

I had the GR-D.
It was a pretty good compact. I used it for B&W street photog.

I'm not sure what the prices are like for GRD2 and GRD3 nowadays but if they are 600 and up then I personally think you'll be better off with a Sony NEX, Panasonic GF or Olympus EP
