I really doubt my first car is still running. 86 Accord HB, sold it with 420K kms (for a profit but way before 2003 :p).
Should've bought Rudy Feeg's son's Jetta Carat instead of that POS. Biggest vehicle regret ever... the Jetta was mint, original orange in perfect running condition, but I had a boner for Hondas... still do I guess.

If he was a "lowballer prick", then why did you sell it to him?

I could be completely wrong, but was your Accord a white CB7 ('90-91 specifically) ALB model with body coloured trim? I think it was sold for profit I remember seeing an ad on CL afterwards..

Actually I remember your thread in the classifieds. I ended up seeing it a lot in my neighbourhood after you sold it.
I have a soft spot for CB7s and yours stuck around

Yeah I really liked that car, and I think the tiny mods I did really made it looks nice. Clear corners and rear turning signals, body colour trim, and replacing the old emblem with the new Accord logo :)
Looked really clean, but I had to get rid of it. It was starting to have the usual 90's Honda problems anyway

If you were desperate, then it wasn't really a lowball now was it....Sounds like some good negotiating skills to me...Why would I buy something off you for $100 if I know you'd give it to me for $50...?
Just sayin...

I've owned my first car for five years now and from time to time I get tempted to sell her, upgrade to something a little less old and with a few less stone chips, maybe a bit more power and rwd..
but then a thread like this pops up and I'm reminds me how special she is to me. In addition to being my first car, she's the first car I ever drove, first place I ever had sex, first place to smoke a joint, she carried me to my first vacation without my parents and it goes on. I hope I never sell her, the connection she gives me to those memories is priceless.

"negotiating skills" has nothing to do with offering a low ball offer to see if the seller is desperate enough to go along with it. He didn't even know until he met to pay - with less money than we even agreed upon. Nogotiating is about both parties giving something up in order to close a deal. Lowballing is lowballing. Go look it up ;)

I'm not one to lowball myself, but the reason why lowballers exist is because people end up going for it....You can't hate on them when you support them. You should've told him to fuck off...

Did I not mention I was desperate? ;)
Belive me, I was really tempted to punch him in the face right then and there. But it was either him, or nobody, and I only had 1 or 2 days left to get rid of the car. I really was screwed by this fucker.
