	   | My Dyno Run - June 6, 2011

			Hi guys,
I took my car in to the dyno over the weekend to get some baseline number. While the numbers are impressive (yet, on a DynoJet) it looks like I've got some problems as per the graph.
Stock motor - S52B32 engine (Single VANOS)
142,000 miles
Dinan Performance Software Stage 1
5th gear pull 1:1 ratio
94 octane
Max HP: 203.66
Max Tq: 201.58
It looks like I've got some ignition issues. I'm thinking perhaps spark plugs? The pull isn't very smooth unfortunately. I don't have a printout of the ARFs but I recall them being around 11'ish on average. Any suggestions?

Your afr's are averaging 11 on a NA motor!? Thats a little rich and may be causing a slight miss fire. You should be running at around high 12's at 100% throttle.

I'm going to see if Dinan has any input.

Pull all your plugs to confirm but they'll probably be blacker then the ace of spades.

^What Phil said...N/A from what I've gathered you should aim for 12.8-13.1 AFR at WOT. Make sure your readings are accurate though, because on my Hondata the readings were leaner than what they actually were.
Mind me asking where you dyno'd and what price you paid?

			Thanks guys.
I'm going to ask the shop for my AF ratios and get some feedback from Dinan.

Assuming they just stick a sniffer in the exhaust how accurate can the AFRs really be?

			Probably not very.
That and it was hot as hell.
I'm going to look past the results for now and live with the numbers.

When they dynoed my car on the same day, I saw on the computer screen my AFR's were in the 11's.
When I checked my datalogs from my Cobb Accessport, yup, all in the 11's. So I'd say SpeedPro's wide band probe is pretty accurate...you're running RICH! Check your plugs!

Their wideband read roughly the same as mine as well. Maybe slightly leaner than mine, if anything. Definitely replace any ignition components that are typical wear items - misfires cause the o2 sensors to read full lean even when the engine is not, so the ecm will compensate by adding more fuel, even though it isn't need. Factory ECU's try to "learn" what they need to be doing, so it maybe have "learned" in such a way as to be adding too much fuel.

What does dinan rate your setup as making for power?
