As the release of AMD's newest line of Llano chips is around the corner with the new FM1 socket, the AM3 socket CPU chips will drop. I currently own the AMD X4 630 with a slight OC to 3.5GHz, will it be a worthy upgrade to either the:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 6 Core Processor 3.2GHZ Socket AM3 Retail Box

or

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 6 Core Processor 3.3GHZ Socket AM3 Retail Box
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=57014&vpn=HDE00ZFBGRBOX&manufacture=AMD&promoid=1343

or

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core Processor AM3 3.4GHZ 8MB Cache 125W 45NM Retail Box
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=46281&vpn=HDZ965FBGMBOX&manufacture=AMD&promoid=1343

I do basic computing, rarely game, and I do OC, hence the Black Edition. Any point in upgrading? Will I notice the difference?

I upgraded from the 965 to the 1090 and there's not much of a difference. I would just get the 965 as it's much cheaper.

I got my 1090 through AMD's Retail Employee Purchase Program for dirt cheap if you're wondering why I upgraded.

As far as OCing goes, I was running the 965 @ 3.9GHz and I'm currently running the 1090 @ 3.6 GHz, though I think it has a little more headroom. I just OC slowly (bump the multiplier up by 0.5 per week until it crashes, then bump it down by 1) so I know it'll be 100% stable long-term.
