I would agree with you...except Boston isn't playing hockey. The number of cheap shots and small jabs and random bullshit moves is ridiculous. Thomas slamming his blocker into people and not getting called on it is bullshit. The reffing these last two games has been horrible, I want to see the kind of reffing that was present in the first two games (and not just because we won). The first two games we had good calls on both sides that kept the bullshit to a minimum.

I'm writing something for CHB right now about how it doesn't matter if we win or lose. Sure, winning would be awesome but win or lose, we're going to talk about these playoffs, love these players and think about what a heck of a ride we went for in 2011.

1994 wasn't a win either. Linden, Bure, McLean, Adams, etc never won a Cup but do you know of a most respected and loved group of people in Vancouver than the '94 Canucks? Trevor could run for mayor tomorrow and win.

We don't love '94 because we won. We would love it more if they did but real fans look back at those times fondly because we saw a team that gave it everything they had and came up short. Can't blame them for it...it's the hardest trophy to win in sports. Bandwagoners get angry. Real fans know what they've experienced. This is part of our city's history, it's part of our personal history.

If I could kill Tim Thomas tomorrow and be assured that by doing so, the Canucks would win the Stanley Cup, I might be tempted but I wouldn't do it.

There would be no meaning to winning like that. The Cup is about being the best by beating the best. Calling in a bomb threat or whatever isn't beating anyone. It's really tough to blame the Refs and penalties (or lack of).
When Canucks are like 1 for 20 or something like that.
Not to mention Canucks let in 2 short handed goals...

1. Score on the PP. Make them pay on the scoreboard. A bruise or two is worth it.
