I had no doubt Japan would be back up and running within a short period of time. They have probably the best system in place to recover from an earthquake considering they get so many...and the Japanese just seem to fix shit.

Meanwhile, New Orleans is still being rebuilt...

Guess that tanker will just become a landmark, eh? :\ Must be near impossible to move something that big without taking it apart... and with it being thick metal, must be difficult to cut into pieces.

Money is also a big factor. Also not having a total re-reDumbfk ex-president create a Derpville for future generations helps too.

don't get me wrong, i'm happy the country is recovering. what i see on the pictures is what i'd consider recovery on a normal level. astonishing would be skyscrapers in place of the debris. you are all easily amused. bring on the fails

Japan is more motivated to get shit done.
Good on them, I've got no doubt that they will be back on their feet soon.

Wanna know how they pull it apart? Check out this crazy video on a shipwrecking yard in Pakistan...some dangerous shit

Hopefully they have some better technology :)

From an economist point of view, rebuilding and cleaning up the desctruction may actually stimulate their economy enough to drop interest rates.

building a skyscraper takes months or years even without having to deal with flooding damage and cleanup. 3 months to do all that would be leet hacks.

Seriously though, how do you manage to make such dumbass posts/threads? Please tell me how it's possible to clean up all that debris and build skyscrapers in a matter of 3 months?

Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

From an economist point of view, rebuilding and cleaning up the desctruction may actually stimulate their economy enough to drop interest rates.

How do you drop interest rates below zero?
When the economy heats up you raise interest rates.

Thanks for the economist point of view.
