just picked up a T1i for dirt cheap! now to fix up the condition.
looks like the SD card door area is melted?? =\
and it's pretty difficult to open. so i'm thinking of taking the card door off and sanding it down a bit? or mb just pay $20 for a brand new card door.

on the inside of SD card door there's some burn marks. anyone know what that could be from??

any tips on how or where i can get this fixed would be greatly appreciated!!

Looks like they used a cheap knockoff battery or something.

Take the door off and just buy a grip for it, and buy some eneloop rechargeable batteries, or any AA rechargeable batteries and be happy :D I'm assuming it works but it's just cosmetic?

I just got a grip for my t2i, feels so beefy and manly now

If the pins on the door aren't spring loaded you may need to take it apart.

^^ that's what i'd like to do hopefully

i see alot of tiny screws all around the camera. just not sure which/how many i'll have to remove if any.
