Battlestations.

Show off your rig, setup, room, anything.
Here are some fine examples while I wait for the store to call me to pick up my CPU.

Some INTENSE cable management:

This IS a car site after all, so these should be relevant your interests...

and we'll finish this off with some zokusha and dekotora themed cases. LOL

They have that case on display at ME.

I that case too. Comes in black also. Was pretty expensive case though.

Mines not all that fancy. Antec 900 case. I suck at cable management.

My case was $20 off craigslist. I have no idea what brand it is. Just that it's silver and very tall and has annoying blue LED's.

This is a 690II Advance right?

Best valued case imo. Plus they got a sexy white version like most companies are doing:

What other cases are nice in terms of cable management and ease of servicing + awesome cooling? Oh and something with black inside and side window (I'm a Comp Ricer). I got the Antec 900 originally for the cooling, but kind of regret it because of servicing.

I hate accessing the HDD's on the 900 because I have to like take both sides of the case off, then unscrew 4 screws on each side to slide the holder out, then I gotta unscrew another 4 screws to get each HDD out.

best case I ever owned was the CM Cosmos
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=28494&...e=COOLERMASTER

Didn't keep it because it was too big. It was so well built

A lot of people seem to enjoy the CM HAF series. I think you will like the HAF932 Black edition (looks good IMO; has nice big window; black interior; HAF = high airflow; user friendly). They accumulate dust like vaccum cleaners though, thats the downside of having that amount of airflow. You should check out the HAF X too , but its substantially more expensive.

I chose to go with an NZXT Phantom with my build. It gets good reviews too but the main flaw is that the fans are NOT standard sizing. Otherwise it is a very user friendly case too.

Well, cases are rarely outdated. Corsairs coming out a new line of BUDGET cases though, called the Carbide.

http://www.corsair.com/cases/carbide-series.html

No window though, but they are priced at around 100. My guess is that extra windowed panels will be available in a few months.

Make your own windows... you work in a car shop. Take the side panels, cut a hole in the middle, add some plexiglass. Problem solved

nothing fancy. I upgraded my CPU/MOBO/RAM/GPU about 3 months ago.
Wish I had gone the 2500k route, which I planned to go. But came across a killer deal I couldn't pass up.

i5 760
Corsair H70
MSI P55A-G55
8GB G.Skill Ripjaw
MSI 560 Ti Twin Frozr
120GB Patriot Inferno Sandforce SSD
Antec TruePower 650W Modular PSU
Corsair 650D

I think that's all

^^^ Hotness. Hows that case treating you airflow wise?

Can't give an accurate opinion on the airflow yet.
The front 200mm case fan is making a weird buzzing noise.
I currently have it unplugged and am still waiting for Corsair to send me a fix kit for it.
So only top 200mm and rear 120mm fans and running and it's hotter than my previous Coolermaster Scout case. It might be because I have no intake fans for now.
Also, the build-in 3 step fan controller is quite handy.

If you really want a case with super airflow maybe opt for the coolermaster HAF series but personally I find them visually hideous.
I chose the Corsair 650D mainly for the subtle look, build quality, cable management.

Spending more money on a nicer looking case is never a bad idea.

1. You're going to look at it everyday.
and
2. It's future proof.
