Android tips and tricks

I searched before and didn't find a thread on Android, so lets start one!

I picked up a Nexus S recently and love it! Widgets are awesome, everything being searchable is fantastic, Swype is amazingly fast!

Anyone else using an Android phone? Any cool tips? tricks? apps? widgets?

Before I switched to the swype keyboard the best trick I learned was to hold the symbol key then tap the symbol you want. Once the symbol key is released the alphabet keyboard is displayed again. If you tap the symbol key, then the symbol, you have to tap the symbol key again to return to the alphabet keyboard.

I bought a Sony xperia arc last month and it's very fast (battery could be better)
Android has a lot more things to be learned in order to fully utilize it compared to my iphone

Thanks for starting this thread I'm still learning how to use it.

I wouldn't bother with antivirus apps. Waste of money if you're planning on buying it.
