Find a group of friends and set something up outdoors on a set day and time. Seems to work best for myself and my group of friends when we've done it in the past. I prefer doing it early like 8 or 9am but we haven't done it in a while.

A group of us place once or twice a week in coquitlam.
Hickey park in coquitlam is good in the evenings. Most people play on blades though.

lol all 12 of us can almost populate a single team.
I'd be up for it. I haven't touched my rollerblades in years though so I may need new bearings.

For those of you close to coquitlam, or who are willing to make the drive, a group of us regularly play at coquitlam town centre(roller/foot) and we also rent planet ice coquitlam
at 11pm some nights for roller. We have a facebook group if anyone wants to join/be notified.

When we rent out planet ice you just need a helmet, otherwise you don't have to wear anything. Non Contact.

Can people choose to wear roller blades? Normally I don't mind others playing with blades when I'm on foot and vise versa....

most guys dont care but there are others who get annoyed with ppl on foot when majority are on blades. i personally dont care and i dont see any rules stating that everyone must coordinate with the majority. its all about having fun.

^ Exactly. 90% of the time I wear blades because I enjoy it more, I don't care if others are on foot.
Where are we gonna play/when?

is there any community centers or places that let you use their gyms? my guess was probably not cause it must tear up the gym floors.

man no wonder planet ice's dry rink sucks big balls for roller hockey.. it is all marked up from ball hockey... it's literally like playing on rough concrete in each of the opposing ends.

What? The ball is softer then the roller hockey puck..... We play on blades not on feet if that's what you're implying would mark up the ground.

im totally down for playing if anyone wants to get together.. i suck though and my inlines arent for roller hockey but im going to be getting new blades for hockey specifically.

Ball hockey does not ruin gym floors. No tape on sticks, and no black sole shoes and everything is fine. I am sure we could find a gym and get at least 8 people and 2 goalies and have some scrims. I used to play at a church in Richmond, they still do it but its all older guys from the same company. I think it was 5 bucks each with the min 8 people and 2 goalies.
How many people would actually be interested. 1 night a week for a hour or so?

lets aim for a place in south/east van
if you rent community centres its like $100 for 2 hours. i dont think an hour is long enough
