Just came back from Hoi An. Groggy weather out today so i had the Pho tai bo vien. The broth was good but the noodles tasted kinda off? I don't know how to describe it, but it sorta tasted like how it would smell uncooked and still in the plastic package. :confused: It was weird. It was had that kinda plastic-y aroma in your mouth. I did like the Bun bo hue though. Nice, friendly service.

Went for the first time today at like 230pm with a couple buddies. Place was quiet, expected on a Fri late afternoon. It was very clean, portions were good, food was decent (had pho and spring rolls, next time I`m gonna try this vansterdamn special), oh and FlyNvBaller I know you hear it alot but your sister(s) are pretty good looking. My manwhore buddy was trying to stir up a convo and she avoided it very well. LOL

I'm usually one of the first people to complain if I feel that I'm not getting good value on what I eat, but seriously? :seriously: People complain for the sake of complaining sometimes. The portions here are fine, it's pretty much the same as any other Vietnamese noodle joint in Vancouver, it's not the best Bun Bo Hue I've had but the other dishes like the #2 are tasty.

I am a BIG eater myself and I find that I am substantially satiated after a large noodle and spring rolls which comes out to like $12, a fair bargain compared to most places these days.

I realized it was Cash ONLY on my 3rd visit here lol ... almost didn't have enough cash, I had to go back to my car to raid my coin slot, couldn't give a proper tip though... I told your sister I will tip double next time ;)

I went there last month and it was closed, there was a notice on the door saying they'll reopen on March XX, I forgot the date, I think it was somewhere in the middle of the month though.

I didn't realize about this place until LSF21 brought me there a couple months ago, soooooo close to home :) :thumbsup: The brother was over from school for an extended weekend and I brought him there Monday, we both liked it

The new owners are the original owners brother and his family however, the original owner (my mom and dad) are still cooking the food in the back so most of the food should taste the same.

The front staff will mainly be my uncle, his wife and daughter. My sister's and wife will be seen once in awhile in the front when they need help but my sisters (I assume were part of the experience?) are trying to start their careers outside the family business so they won't be seen if they're working or in school which is almost always now.

They renovated the washroom, thats my favourite part of the change =)

I went to Hoi An today for the first time in a few months. I pass by it all the time, and it's not too busy all that often.. Think they changed owners again; different people working and the menus are different. I think it's mostly the same items, just now it's on a black booklet kind of thing whereas before it was a single large laminated menu.

I couldn't really tell you how good the food was, I was fighting off the last bit of a hangover and it just tasted bomb haha.
