currently i do not have a license plate frame on the car. and i know for a fact that the plate touches/hits the cars body. is there a way to prevent it? will a plate help?
also, i was thinking of going to a dealership and asking for 2 sets of plates. do you think they would give it to me? they should right?? free advertising !!!~

I take the frame, flip it behind the plate and use it between the body and the frame. (Think of it as sandwiching the frame between the body and plate.) No free advertising for anybody.

The other trick you can do is get some free plate frames, and then spray them black.. advertising gone.. free blank frame plate! :)

my sub was causing my plate to rattle so one day i cut 2 cubes of sponge and crammed it in the back of the plate. works :)

i went to the bmw dealer and got a plain powdercoated black stainless steel license plate frame. it came with small rubber spacers that have some adhesive on it. $35 a piece, but definitely worth it.

Daiso sells these for $3. All clear plastic covering the whole length x width of the plate.

I recently saw a plate that had some of that toolbox drawer liner behind it to prevent scratching the paint. Looked sharp!
