Looking for suggestions from people that have been on exchange before. I'm personally looking at Japan or Korea. I was just in Japan for 3 weeks and actually attended the school that I am contemplating as part of the trip. But Istill cant completely decide between the two. Any suggestions or helpful experiences would be great.

Go for whichever exchange you feel you will connect better with.

I'm planning to go to Korea in 2012. Originally I was to go this Fall and I was accepted, but my GPA was slightly under the bar because I flunked math.

I went to Seoul. You'll have the time of your life there (and on exchange in general).... I went to Yonsei University and even though its supposed to be the "2nd" best university in Korea... it was unbelievably easy. It was also a 15-20 minute walk to all the bars and clubs you'll ever need. I also chose Korea because expenses are cheaper than in Japan.
