Hey y'all

So I took down the old, rotting wood fence that surrounds one side of my house. I was thinking of planting some shrubs to cover it up but was thinking of installing the same fence that surrounds the rest of the house.

In the pictures you can see what my fencing looks like.
Any places you guys can recommend looking? I tried home depot online, but didn't come across anything.

Thoughts? suggestions?

Home Depot carries a product called peak railings, it's not technically a fencing product but it looks similar to what you have in the pictures; It sells for around $70 per 6ft panel if memory serves. (The pickets look like straight tubular steel in the pic, if they're twisted wrought iron ignore the above)

Unless your looking for a small length ~ 20ft or so ~ it's actually more cost effective to have a shop custom make the railings for you than buying from a big box. I haven't personally worked with any metal fence or railing companies though, so I can't recommend anyone.

i agree, i think you have to go custom with guys that fabricate that. at least that's what my contractor told me when i was looking in to making railings for my deck. he said same applies to fences. i decided to go wood, it was cheaper :P

i don't have a contact for that though sorry

The peak railings can be duplicated with a little work and less cash by using cedar and metal electrical conduit.

Aluminum railings are definitely custom made... however sometimes you can find pieces on craigslist that may fit your needs. Actually.... I do remember seeing some kind of railing at Rona.

Your thinking of stiles railings, peak railings are aluminum not wood. The stiles railings could easily be duplicated if you felt like drilling hundreds of holes.

thanks for looking that up, catalin! but the length is too short. I need about 29' - 30'. Height is good though. I will try to call it to check it out anyhow
