I'm in the market for some higher end SD and CF cards right now but I haven't ventured off far from Kingston, Sandisk or Lexar. What do you guys use right now?
Future Shop has these 16gb class 10 Duracells for $25: Duracell 16GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card - Future Shop Exclusive : SD, SDHC & SDXC Memory - Future Shop (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/duracell-duracell-16gb-sdhc-class-10-memory-card-future-shop-exclusive-du-sd1016g-c/10149957.aspx?path=687d3b4d96b2d4a4baafcd49bb262c6 0en02)
It sounds a bit too good to be true when most of the "name brands" are at least double that price.
get sandisk or lexar from B&H. they're cheaper even after duties and taxes.

i just picked up an 8 gig Lexar Pro CF 400x from London Drugs. it was only $10 more than B&H, so what the hell. very noticable difference from my 200x cards.

picked up a patriot class 10 16gb SD card at NCIX for about $25, also picked up a kingston class 10 16gb at Fry's for $22 down in the states for use in my D90
Sandisk or Lexar. Can't go wrong with them.

^theyre usually like class 4 and incredibly slow when transferring. I use a Transcend 32gb 400x CF I got on eBay for 75$. Can't fathom paying over 200 on a sandisk. Even Phillip Bloom uses them.

Microsd is more expensive compared to the equivalent size and faster sdhc so it's kinda not worth it.
Lexar & Sandisk for me

I was looking for an SDHC card a while back and settled for PNY because they give lifetime warranty and the price was good. I have a few name brand SDHC died within this year and got better replacement for them so I love the life time warranty. I was looking at the Duracell too, I've looked at the review and turned away, almost every review it got from the futureshop website said they got corrupted memory card after a while. Patriot is a good brand but they only give like one year warranty. If money is not a factor, I'll stick with Lexar or or Sandisk.

Kingston Elite Pro 32GB 133x with the ugly green picture on them for my 7D
for The E-PL1/NEX I use a Sandisk Ultra 8gb Class 4.
Never really had a bad experience with memory cards except for with a patriot one I got at Memory Express. Just refused to read, I didn't bother getting the warranty on a piece of crap and picked up the sandisk in HK for around $20 CAD

i've heard of them, they have to be slow though, to your computer? uploading a full 8 gig card into my Lightroom catalogues is slow, with my card reader. imagine what wireless would be like.

Worst product I bought recently and returned it playing with it a few days. Drains battery, slow, sometime doesn't work.

Lexar 400x's and a PNY 233x. Quite a noticeable speed difference when emptying out the buffer in my 50D when using the Lexars

Back from the dead.
Just ordered 2 Lexar 32GB 1000x card from B&H as they still have that crazy deal on... Also ordered the new Class 10 Eye-Fi for dumping the small jpgs onto the phone right away (using Canon 5d3). Hopefully the Eye-Fi will not affect the burst rate of the camera.

I bought the last gen eye-fi and I returned it after a day of playing with it. Doesn't work all the time and it drains the camera battery quite fast even with the gps off.

Lexar 400x 16gb for me. I've got 4 of them. They're about $90 for a two pack.

Shouldn't affect the burst rate much. Burst rate is more affected by the internal buffer capacity. It's the write time that may be affected when the buffer needs to empty to the memory card.

I'm doing the same thing except I'm just going to buy the cheap Eye-Fi. The 4GB gives me more than enough space for the small jpegs and it'll send them to my iPad the same. The difference with the Pro cards is that they allow for RAW transfer, which I don't need since I'll never transfer 500x 30MB files over Wi-Fi.
