I have a Macbook Pro that I use for gaming as well....
But not getting the best frames from games.
Any way to upgrade it without buying a new book?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: No. Any of the easy upgrades like memory and HD don't make much of a difference for gaming since the upper limits aren't much better than what you're probably already running. Stuff like the processor and video card as with most notebooks are not upgradable, not easily upgradable OR not worth upgrading as the cost will exceed the cost of a new one.
IMO upgrading has always been a bit of a exercise in futility, especially with technology generations moving as fast as they are now.

Are you joking it's a Mac. The only thing you can try is adding more ram.

Don't buy a mac for gaming purposes , go ASUS.

:lol why would it matter if it's an Asus instead of any other PC?

OP probably wants it for portability.

I think you're missing Ronin's point. It makes no difference what brand the laptop is. Once the video or CPU become obsolete you're screwed either way.

are you running games off boot camp or parallel?
If parallel thats why, boot camp is much better
if boot camp then which macbook pro do you have? I got a old 15'4 (4 years can play modern warfare 2 with med graphics and get about 40fps

I'm running parallel, but thats fine, the game I was more concerned about is League of Legends... Only averaging about 15-20 fps!
My macbook is about 2 years old

With some laptops you can add external video cards. Sony has a new Laptop that comes with an external video card.

Or you could download the mac native version for league of legends. It's out there but I don't remember where.
If you need me to I can upload the installer when I get my macbook.

Yeah those have been around for awhile but have never been very popular. They're expensive and cumbersome. Kinda defeats the purpose of a laptop if you have to connect things to it to game.
