looks cheap. You could build something like that with HOMEDEPOT products for a third of the price....

I have one in my car, but doesn't look as cheap as that one

My Simota intake looks like the pic without the cheap hose. Mine sounds great but haven't noticed any power gains.

is the simota filter much smaller than the standard cone filter, if it sucks less air, I would rather stick with the stock airbox

the cone filter that comes with the simota is basicly filling up that whole canister

If it has that corrugated garbage snake laundry exhaust type hose, it's garbage. You want to have as little restriction as possible in an intake. Ribbed walls /= low resistance.

looks like that hose mounts to the front bumper. seems like the long hose is actually the inlet of the intake, somewhat like a cold air intake?

the stock intake hose from Mercedes also has ribbed wall, and most rubber elbow hoses from many cars do not have smooth wall. if the hose diameter isn't smaller than the inlet, it shouldn't be a problem.

read some reviews about it, it's not a CAI replacement, but it's almost as good as it.
