Storage space rental?
I'm running out of space and will need to get a storage space somewhere in Surrey. What should I expect to pay for a 5x10 storage facility? And any recommendations on where to go?
I think most of the storage spaces are now fanchised whether is be ps, storage mart or u-haul. When I was looking for storage spaces, I think a 5X10 is approximately 60 something?? Just go look around, and usually they are willing to price match one another too, including promotions (such as a gas card if you pre-pay or whatever the case may be) Posted via RS Mobile

Thanks, I'm gonna drive around this weekend to see places close to me.
I've asked ppl who have used them in the past and now have a rough idea of the cost.
Owners of storage facility hold auction...all the boxes are empty.
It was funny Dave he priced a SS fridge at $800 and Jarrod priced his at $200.
Who the fuck would buy a set of nasty couches for $1000 at a consignment store?

A couple years ago I looked at getting one at Public Storage in New West. Cheapest on was just under $100/month (I think around $89+tax). It was 5x5 (200 sq ft), which seems okay, but looking at it in person, it is SMALL. They go up in price by $20 or so, the bigger you go.
The smallest one was really only good for boxes and maybe lamps. Price goes up if you want ground floor, etc.
Ended up being cheaper to move from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apartment. Also, didn't like to hours of operation....could be annoying if you need access on a regular basis.
I found one today on Mitchell Island that has 4x4' or 3x5' lockers for $54, and they are 10' high. That's the cheapest and best I've seen so far.
My condo storage locker was 3x5' and 8' high, so I'm looking for something similar. I setup cheap Ikea shelves to maximize the space, tires on the bottom, Christmas decorations and other crap ontop.
I'm looking for something we'll only access a handful of times a year. My GF's condo has ensuite storage, yet its considerably smaller than what I had, and we don't want to store my tires in there.
From when we were looking, it all depends on how full the facility is. Makes sense right? If demand is obviously high, they can gouge. If its empty, they advertise 1st month for $1.
We were primarily looking for storing my tools and supplies for work-so I wanted to be close and accessible. It didn't really work out when we were talking to them in regards to what I wanted to do. Posted via RS Mobile
