either find the extension on craigslist (near impossible)
or...

goto IKEA

buy the Ekby Järpen and Captiva legs
the Ekby board is 119cm in length, the desk is 120cm
does the job!

the legs come in 4in or 6in

The LACK or VIKA shelves are cheaper, but are not as sturdy.. good luck

Just picked up this desk and chair on sale for a great deal at Staples. Just moved out of province so it's nice to finally have my rig up and running. Also stopped using my 42" LG for a monitor and picked up a single 24" Asus LED. The 42" is right next to the rig to use for movies and shows.

These days I just use a laptop, but I came across a photo of my setup from WAY back in the day... this photo was taken just after Christmas 2004 (got my 2nd monitor for xmas), I'd venture a guess I was one of very few people running dual monitors at home at that time. Mousepad is a Ratpadz from Hard|OCP... (does that date me even further??)

The advantage is:
a) it's super, super easy to setup, and pretty cheap nowadays
and b) it's just more usable. You don't need to alt-tab between programs, since you always have two windows visible.

you are probably thinking of another 2420..because the one's in those pic are the U2410 I believe..which are 8-bit S-IPS panels...the lowest price they ever dropped to was 400ish

I agree it's awkward putting tri-monitor setup in landscape unless you use it purely for gaming (excluding racing sims)

^doesn't that hurt your eyes or something? I tried with my 40", couldn't handle it for more than 2 hours at a time.

it doesnt hurt my eyes at all, and my eyesight hasnt worsen in the past 5 years and I've moved from 32" - 46" within that span
