sorry if threadjacking, but i'm also looking for an exhaust shop. i'm looking to delete my resinator but instead of just chopping it off and welding in a pipe, i want to get a custom bolt on pipe made. incase i want to sell my catback later on. my brother has recommended butch's in surrey. i know it's hard to come by, but anyone know any shops that do quality work and at a cheap price at the same time? :p low on budget, decent work will do :okay:

We definitely can tackle the job.

We've redone alot of Hoegler's work. They butchered my friends CLK55 muffler. Tips were not level, one was shorter than the other.

Just went to Hoeglers in Richmond to do a mid-muffler and resonator delete

He left it jacked up so I can inspect his welding work.
I told him that I might revert in the future so he made his cuts supernice and sanded a bit of the rough edges for easier handling.

I had great experience with Hoegler's. I had them weld a few pipes before, multiple times. Great service but not cheap at all.

Muffler man did both of my cars

Z31 bent a nice 2.5" catback for me and welded on aftermarket muffler

Astra, removed old muffler and welded new one on.

No complaints for either job, alignment was nice too and guy who installed it asked how I wanted it to sit before he did anything.

$160 for the Z31 catback (reasonable?) and $80 for the astra muffler only (a little pricey?).

Honestly though I'd have bought a cheap catback off ebay if one was available and do the install myself to save money.

Van Neer Developments.
Shawn is back and fabricating like a madman. He is the only guy other than myself, Jason at Dale's and Pat at Rocket who will ever work on my cars.

The Speed Syndicate can also custom weld for you. I'm in the process of getting my 3 inch catback done by them as we speak. TSS are a bunch of good people.

Speed shops will probably cost more than an actual muffler shop like Muffler Man/Hoegler's.

The black dude at Hoegler's seems like a nice guy, don't bother talking to the white guy lol

+100000000.

The black guy is super awesome. He'll give you the best cash price. The white guy will severely rip you off.

How much did that cost you? They seem decent and much more conveniently located than muffler man or quiet muffler and brake which are way out of the way for those of us that are in Vancouver.

got a 1.5" section welded in and re hanged the muffler. $50 plus tax

not sure if chopping the exhaust and adding the section will hinder any performance, but oh well.

The only place that I know of that has a mandrel bender for pipes is MufflerTech, but I highly recommend you not go there.
