Does anyone have any recommendations on independant shops that specialize or can work with range rover/ land rover cars? My car is out of warranty now, both extended and original warranty.
I would like a shop with experience, good reputation, and fair rates.
MCL and richmond land rover is charging an arm and a leg and some service staff are not "honest" and tries to upsell me more services and parts that i dont need currently. I believe the hourly labour for them are $125/hour
I would like someone who can just be honest and do good job and build a good relationship.
Location of shop doesnt really matter, vancouver, burnaby, surrey..even
I don't want to take my car to mr.lube for oil change either. :P

Try Octagon Motor Group?

Octagon primarily specializes in older Jaguars, MGs, and Triumphs.
Try Silk Cat in North Vancouver. I believe dangonay works there (or used to) work there. Good shop specializing in LR/RR from what I have been told. Cross your fingers and hope he sees this thread and responds. :)
Hesp Automotive in North Vancouver. They specialize in Jags/Land Rovers. Go and see Al.

Hesp Autmotive and Silk Cat are both Land Rover/Range Rover specialists.
For basic maintenance I also recommend Gold Wrench Automotives in North Vancouver. They work on all makes. From basic maintenance to even more serious jobs.

Silk Cat hands down. I don't work there anymore but still highly recommend them. If I didn't like someone I'd send them to Hesp.

Pretty stupid comment to make if you have nothing to back it up. EVERYONE in the LR/RR community recommends Hesp, even the service techs at MCL. When the dealer is sending you to an independent, that should tell you something.

+1 for Silk Cat.
They really love the cars that they work on. He even bought my old Jag from me, giving it a proper home.

There is a club I know of.
If accepted, your parts are at cost..WOW...and Land Rover/Range Rover support for repairs and ownership. It's a no brainer.
PM me for details..
