Looking at buying one of the 2 laptops

Please let me know which one you recommend:

HP 14.5" AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M Laptop
HP 14.5" AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M Laptop (G4-1164CA) - Grey : 14" Laptops - Future Shop (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-14-5-amd-quad-core-a6-3400m-laptop-g4-1164ca-grey-g4-1164ca/10173819.aspx?pid=finder)

or

HP Pavilion 15.6" AMD Quad Core A6
HP Pavilion 15.6" AMD Quad Core A6-3400M Laptop (DV6-6104CA) - Espresso Black : 15" Laptops - Future Shop (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-15-6-amd-quad-core-a6-3400m-laptop-dv6-6104ca-espresso-black-dv6-6104ca/10172218.aspx?pid=finder)

Im leaning towards the 14.5 but the 15.6 would be nice to have the number keypad. 15.6 also has a slower processor not sure if this will make a difference.

thanks

Manic!

Both are running a AMD Quad Core A6-3400M CPU. Looks like the FS specs are wrong on the 15.6 inch laptop.

Both are running a AMD Quad Core A6-3400M CPU. Looks like the FS specs are wrong on the 15.6 inch laptop. According to HP's website, the DV6-6104CA is running the A6-3410MX, not the 3400M.

According to AMD's website:

3400M = 1.4 GHz Quad-Core (up to 2.3 GHz w/ Turbo Core), 35W TDP, up to 1333 MHz memory
3410MX = 1.6 GHz Quad-Core (up to 2.3 GHz w/ Turbo Core), 45W TDP, up to 1600 MHz memory

Anyways, my advice is to wait 2-3 weeks for the back-to-school specials ... Generally, there are much better deals from mid-August to mid-September than what you'll find right now.

well if your just using it for school.

-MSword etc (MSOFFICE)
-internet exlorer, firefox , any web browser for like youtube and researching

the cheaper one would do.

What I did was like what Jmac said, Wait for back to school sale, best buy or future shop will ahve one of those 200$ 15.6 inch laptops. I used that and I was fine.
