Any suggestions for a reasonable place to sell broken cars? I have an old car with a leak which is causing it to overheat and am willing to sell for some cash

amex(sp?) in surrey is where i go. Cut the cat off yourself and sell it separately. Depending on the car, the cats may be worth more then the cars scrap value. You may want to call your local scrap yard to see what they're paying for scrap. The prices are always different from place to place so don't just go with the first place you find.

hmm ok. How much does it usually cost to fix a leak and replace coolant in an old car?

depending on the leak and where it is leaking from, could be just as little as a hose or up to a head gasket. ($20-1000).. And Coolant is usually $15-40 / jug.

What are you asking for it anyways?

i don't know but something that is worth more than the repair. I am guessing I will not get a lot out of this?

my suggestion is to get it fixed. or find someone you know that can fix it. just coz you will get more low baller buyers than actual ppl who want it.

Put it up on dubberz.com. Depending on the condition of the body, someone might pick itup and fix it. You won't get nearly enough trying to scrap the car.

Scrap truck will probably give you $150, maybe less depending on the guy.

well my family doesn't want the car anymore and wants to sell it for a few hundred and get another one. Any places or numbers?

C'mmon man... get on google and search vancouver scrap car removal, open the phone book, theres tons of numbers / places in there that will take your car. If you want more then the standard 100-200 bucks for junking it, then post it on dubberz where its already been said. If the overall body's in good condition, someone may pay you 300 for a parts car or something.

Honestly, in the time it took you to make a thread and read all the responses, you could probably called a place, set up a time to get it out of your place by now.

Ask any Kingsway or King George dealer. They seem to have it down pat.
