And ship them over here then to buy locally or from another city? Since our dollar is higher than theirs right now. Looking for a B16B (engine + tranny) which I know is a rare engine , so there is a better chance of finding one from across the border.

Anywhere is cheaper to buy parts than BC. Stupid ICBC cranks up the price of parts.

Buy a rocker molding for $100 here at a wrecker.. and that's supposedly a deal. It's $5 in Alberta, or Washington state.

What does ICBC have to do with the price of wrecker prices?

ICBC doesnt jack up the prices the wreckers do and ICBC is just willing to pay them meaning we have to also.
As to OP's original question I doubt it would be cheaper in the end shipping something like an engine over the border would be more costly and more time consuming
