reformat protected usb drive?

hihi, anyone know how to unlock a protected usb drive?

for somereason my USB just fucked up on me and locked itself. I have no idea what happened.
I tried googling it, didnt work :/

i was using MAC at the time it fucked up
i ahve macpro, and a win7 desktop :/

go into disk utility found by using spotlight and format from there. this is on the mac osx

You need to restore it using software provided by the manufacturer. I had the same thing happen, and nothing else worked. Contact support and they should help you if they are of any use

It can happen when it is trying to write while you disconnect it manually. ALWAYS use "Eject" before removing it, no matter what OS you are using.

Or if it's cheap or damaged, the flash connection could have just disappeared. You'll know when you try doing a factory restore.

i bought this awhile ago. all my hwk and projects are in there..
i dont even know the brand of it cz the surface has been all scratched up.. lol

no way to fix? *sniff sniff*
