Joyce Station

Driving home the past 2 afternoons; I saw a bunch of old refrigerators and other miscellaneous junk outside of the East Side of Joyce Station.

Tried goggling any news re: Joyce/ Collingwood and all I came up with is a pop-up park similar to the one downtown; which it didn't look like to me.

Pop-up park is an instant place to lounge downtown

Collingwood-Joyce SkyTrain Station Mini Plaza. A mini plaza will be created on four parking spots at the station from Aug. 24 to Sept. 3...

Anyone know what's going on there? Just out of curiosity. TIA

I saw the same on Tuesday. I saw a bunch of tires arranged in an interesting way - maybe a new form of modern art?

Got a pic? I was in a hurry so didn't manage

It's something to do with recycling huge old shit like mattresses, stoves, washing machines and using them to grow plants with. Doesn't make any sense but I guess it's a form of art. The tires are supposed to be seats and there is usually a DJ there that plays music while you sit and enjoy the shitty art.

Drove by again; too weird and ugly to take a pic, plus I'm driving.

So it's old fridges, stoves and tires...

Viva Collingwood | Facebook

It's call viva collingwood - they have a small maze, a tire igloos and some other things.

They have daily events but the big ticket item is a free movie night on September 3rd at the green space....they are going to be showing the movie "UP" and provide free popcorn...just bring your lawnchairs and other things
