The converible top on my 1995 miata is the original top that came with it. I think it use to be black but now its greyish. Looking through the rear plastic window is like looking through muddy goggles. Needless to say I need to replace the top. I googled the instalation and looks like a pain in the ass to do. Where does everyone with fabric convertible tops go to get them replaced?

Call up Lou or Maryann at Pacific Auto Trim, 604-876-1780
They did the top on my 'vert, install was absolute perfection.

If it's not leaking and the window isn't busted, I'd just wait til spring and have it ready for the summer.

try using aerospace 303 and apply that over the top and rear plastic window, clears it up and keeps the top nice and black, i use it every 2-3 washes, works great

you can polish up that plastic rear window with something like meguiar's plastic polish, if it's not leaking i wouldn't replace the top, you can probably refinish it to a pretty decent looking top, mine is starting to peel at the edges but all in all doesn't really leak unless i park it in the rain for a couple hours
there are a lot of aftermarket tops out there
MIATA CONVERTIBLE TOPS (http://www.gomiata.com/accessories-tops--tonneaus---boots.html)
typically way cheaper than OEM, not sure if they're any good, robbins is well known I guess.
