My friend asked me to shoot a few semi/professional looking portraits for her portfolio. Her major is in Graphics/Design.

Since I don't own a studio, this will have to be done outside. What places do you guys recommend to approach this? Is it possible/do-able using an outside as a background for something like this?

I'm scratching my head thinking about this =/

Granville Island is a really good spot for portaits. There are a lot of hidden spots that would make awesome backgrounds for portrait shots. Just go there and look around.
