: Gang shooting? suspicious package? DT at the courthouse

So I'm downtown tryng to walk from PC to Wall Centre, and the whole courthouse block is blocked off and taped up. A security guard nearby said it's a gang shooting and "just look, you can see the bodies. Gangbangers got shot coming out of the courthouse", but the story from three cops is "suspicious package".

Anyone got any more detail?

The Vancouver Police Department cordoned off Smithe at Howe Street and Hornby at Nelson Street Friday evening after reports of an unconfirmed bomb threat at the courthouse.

As of 8:17 p.m. Friday the police secured and reopened the area.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, the police had cordoned off the 700 block of Heather Street after a suspicious package was found there. The package was destroyed by the VPD and members of the the RCMP Explosive Device Unit.
