I decided to make this thread to see how cheap or how expensive is the gas price in Greater Vancouver... Or in BC. Just giving everybody a heads up.
Let me start first.

I use an app called GasBuddy. Shows your nearest gas station and lists out by price, grade, however you want it. It's on both iPhone and blackberry

^ No. I probably will soon though. The onus is all on the people registered to update it though, so if not alot of people update your area, you're SOL. 90% pretty acurate for me though :D

Is it bad for the car if i consistanly adding a mixture of different brand gas ? (all same grade)
for example: petro, Chev and esso or even gas in the state...
I dont wait for the tank to be empties, i just consistanly adding different brand of gas since im traveling pretty often and i just uses the closes station when i needed it.

I don't think it matters. In the end, it's just gas that's burned and consumed - it's not like the fuel system is going to recognize different brands.

It depends.
If its like 89 esso and you're filling it up with 89 chevron / petro or w.e, then doesn't really matter..
If you're talking about 89 esso to like 91 chevron or petro or etc, then i would think so?

When I went on Saturday night (around 11) - Texaco had it around 4.01 per gallon for 92. This was at Blaine
Does anyone know why gas prices have been on a continuous decrease for the past week? I know obviously it's a good thing but the news I read on gasbuddy keeps saying oil barrel prices are going up...doesn't really make any sense. Any experts out there?

128.9 this evening.
Good to see prices lower... But also makes me believe that a quick uprise might happen soon lol...
Seems like that most of the time.

Why do gas stations do that? Raise the prices during the day, then lower them for the evening. Repeat.

They can make more money with people getting gas on the way to work and on the way home from work.

And commercial drivers who can write off their gas expenses are more likely to get gas during working hours. So why not?

Guess that makes sense... although if I know something's gonna be cheap at a specific time, I'll get it when it's cheap!

Shell in Blaine is 3.73Reg, 3.83 Mid, 3.88 Prem.
If I calculated it right, it works out to 0.99 Reg, 1.01 Mid, 1.03 Prem

Chevron in Blaine just before PacXing was $3.899, $4.099, and $4.259.
Picked up my snow tires, had 2 McRibs, and didn't pay tax at the border.
What a good day, besides the sun we had as well.
