Has anyone been there? Reviews, comments?
I want to send my parents there for their anniversary dinner and I wanna make sure its good since they were interested in going when they passed by it.
If its not a good place, then what other alternatives do you guys suggest? Preferably a restaurant Downtown.
Thanks!

I took my gf to West for her birthday.

David Hawksworth used to work at West several years ago. The room is energetic and fairly noisy with sound bouncing off the hard surfaces (no table cloth), I recall it was 85db or higher.
The food is more contemporary quite similar to West. If your parents prefer traditional dishes, I would stick to le Crocodile.
Hawksworth is fine, just don't expect too much or you will be disappointed.

Though considered 'fine dining' and service is very good, the restaurant itself is casual. As above has said, no white tablecloths, loud, jeans are common; might not be the best place for an anniversary dinner.
A good article from Andrew Morrison that describes it more...

Having gone to West, I think the service there is much better than at Le Crocodile. The servers @ Le Crocodile had this tiny air of arrogance to them.
But I liked the classical french from Le Crocodile a lot better.
