| Job application ethics?
Hey guys - i'm applying for a job at accenture and i have sent my resume to 2 individuals that i know there (they do not know each other - different departments). I have requested that both of them send it to HR. One has already sent it in , and the other one will send it in on Monday. I have applied for this position using accentures online site as well.
do you think this is ok? have 2 ppl send the resume HR + me submit it online?

they don't have a "how did you hear about this position" -- option ...
and we all know that - when it comes through internal sources , it gets looked at twice ...

No issue of ethics at all.
It's just a matter what kind of image you want to portray to the HR team which, depending on their character, can be seen as having strong initiative or simply being annoying.
If I were the hiring manager, I would view it as a good idea to increase your chances of being interviewed. That's just me though.

from a personal perspective, it shows initiative and determination. being persistent in finding ways to get an interview shows you are really serious about getting a position with the company.
from an HR perspective... it will really depend on their personality. some might see it as persistent and determined while others might find it annoying. ive experienced HR people that hate when you call more than once to do a job follow up, find it annoying when more than 1 resume show up at their desk for the same applicant, asking about when they are planning to make a decision frustrates them and so forth. unfortunately it is not a general opinion that all HR share. your question will greatly depend on the HR's personality.
