Does anyone know of any places (local or online is OK) that will make custom sunglasses lenses?

I have a pair of sunglasses now that I really like (and were quite pricey to begin with) but the tinting on the lens just isn't enough to cut glare while I'm driving.

I went to the local optician where I bought the sunglasses from originally and they quoted me $224 for replacement lenses. (this is with the scratch resistant coating, anti reflective and UV protection). Seems a bit steep to me as you can almost buy another pair of glasses for that price! I can't find much online and the only place I see is Eyeglass Lens Direct that offers a polarized lens with the same options for $120. It's a more reasonable price but would definitely prefer somewhere local since it's more than likely I'll have to send them in to have the lens made.

yeah there are quite a few

i remember looking for some when getting replacements for my oakleys (ended up finding some originals though)

ill try n see if i have em in my bookmarks

edit: eh sorry the ones i have only do oakleys

just search your brand model sunglasses in google with the term "replacement" or try ebay a lot of places that make their own lenses sell on there
