thanks boys but i ended up buying another fridge from sears, the price to fix it was just about the same price as to buy a new one

Our LG died a year ago, with some frustration at the cost of repairs and some research I found that a simple $10 relay got it going again.
If it's not the compressor tank simple tools can usually get the job done.

what happened was the fan died, causing the compressor to kill itself

i went to sears and bought a new fridge with 5 year warrenty
