: Car for under 10000?

My old 95 neon is starting to die out on me and the repairs done on it have already outvalued car.

So I'm looking for a brainstorm of cars I can consider, for under 10000, that is relatively modern and fun to drive :woot2:

So far:
-mazda 3
-older bmw 3 series
-older acura tsx / tl
-2007 jetta
-2003 g35

Thoughts?

edit: a nice interior is something I'm really interested in

for a 10g budget... you'll probably want something reliable and cheap to run.
mazda 3 is probably your best choice.
not sure about the others...

me too. my old integra has a major leak on passenger side cowl and the blower motor is right under there. I replaced the old one because it stopped working due to the leak but the leak is still there and hopefully will last me a few more months otherwise it'll suck to drive with no blower motor. Doubt it though because just today there was a puddle of water on passenger carpet =/

How much older TL/TSX? You are going to have a hard time finding one in good condition for under 10k. Not worth it imo and just stick with the Mazda3.

And agree with bonestock. I'd try to score a late generation Civic, probably 06/07, should be able to find one in good shape, all the basic options and decent mileage for 10k

Was hoping for a tsx somewhere between 2003-2006. Was never a fan of the civic unfortunately, the styling never struck me.

The audi seems interesting though, would maintenance on that kill me in the long term?

Not really racist!

Have you considered an 04/05 EL?

Better gas mileage, lower insurance, a decent interior and exterior, well within your budget, maintenance will be very reasonable.

G35? for under 10? high kms navy blue sedan maybe....

Hard to find a Tsx/TL in good condition/clean title for that price.
G35 you'll probably be looking at an 03 sedan.. High kms or rebuild..

In that price range I'd stay away from the luxury Germans..

Personally if that were me, I'd go for an rsx, Mazda 3, or finance a new car.
Or keep creeping rs marketplace :troll:

Accord ? Prelude ? Those are fun and reliable cars that you can fine in good shape for just around 10g's. And easy to mod if that's what you're into too.

Take a look at some 2.5RS Subaru's. The GC is damn good AWD fun for under 10k.

heh get a 99-00 Civic SIR (~$5000-$7000) with extra money for mods! :D

good engine, all power options, sun roof and ultra aftermarket support. that's what i'd do with a $10,000 budget :concentrate:

should probably consider insurance before buying a civic, frankly i wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole

on your list I'd probably go with the mazda 3

Thanks for all the suggestions, my list is starting to narrow down now. Assuming I don't go luxury, what do you guys think is best between:

-mazda 3
-acura rsx
-toyota celica

they all seem to be falling around the same price range
