is this a good laptop deal?

Striped together for performance. Would be better if it was 1080p screen.

^^ agree I would expect any 17inch laptop with 1080p screen these days. Heck even some of the higer model of 15inch have 1080p screen.
Personally I am so use to 1080 screens I would not go to a lower one.

A lot of core i series processors have turbo boost. It's not that unique.

That is going to be a heavy laptop, you can probably get a Asus with similar specs and cheaper.
edit: i'm pretty sure you can modify on Dell to change your screen resolution to 1080 for extra $$

Trying to get full desktop replacements.. I'm just browsing right now waiting for the right moment... Are the ext generation of I-processors coming out this year??
